本校4A班張天心與5C班陳暉榮幸入選「Innovating for Tomorrow: A Conversation with The Shaw Laureates 2025」學生交流計劃，成為全港僅有60名參與者之一！

是次活動由邵逸夫獎基金會主辦、SCMP Learn籌辦，旨在讓本港學生有機會與世界級科學家直接對話。經過層層選拔，兩位同學成功脫穎而出，展現出他們對知識探索的熱忱與創新精神。

活動於2025年10月23日假將軍澳邵氏影城舉行，當天，學生將按學術興趣分為天文學、生命科學與醫學、數學科學三大組別，與相關領域的頂尖科學家展開小組討論、提問與深度交流。

參與的科學家包括：

• John Richard Bond：2025年度邵逸夫天文學獎得主
• George Efstathiou：2025年度邵逸夫天文學獎得主
• Wolfgang Baumeister：2025年度邵逸夫生命科學與醫學獎得主
• Kenji Fukaya：2025年度邵逸夫數學科學獎得主

活動更由《南華早報》Young Post編輯團隊專業主持，揭開科學研究背後的人文故事，讓學生從學術巨匠的分享中感受科學的無窮魅力。

活動前，入選學生於10月18日參加SCMP舉辦的線上新聞寫作與訪談技巧工作坊，學習如何以英語進行專業訪談與敘述。活動後，參加者需撰寫250字的英文反思，結合所學所得，並獲得主辦方頒發的參與證書。

本次活動不僅是一次與世界頂尖科學家面對面交流的寶貴機會，更是兩位同學邁向科研夢想的重要啟航。我們為張天心與陳暉感到驕傲，並希望他們能從活動中汲取靈感，成為未來的科研領袖！

We are proud to announce that 4A Chang Tin Sum and 5C Chen Fai have been selected to participate in the “Innovating for Tomorrow: A Conversation with The Shaw Laureates 2025” student engagement programme. As two of only 60 students across Hong Kong chosen for this prestigious event, they have demonstrated exceptional passion and potential in scientific research!
This programme, organized by The Shaw Prize Foundation and hosted by SCMP Learn, provides an extraordinary opportunity for students to engage with world-renowned scientists. After a rigorous selection process, Chang Tin Sum and Chen Fai successfully stood out as future innovators ready to explore new frontiers of science.

The event took place on October 23, 2025, at Shaw Studios, Tseung Kwan O. Students were divided into groups based on their academic interests—astronomy, life sciences and medicine, or mathematical sciences—and engaged in in-depth discussions and Q&A sessions with leading scientists. This year’s laureates include:

• John Richard Bond: 2025 Shaw Prize in Astronomy Laureate
• George Efstathiou: 2025 Shaw Prize in Astronomy Laureate
• Wolfgang Baumeister: 2025 Shaw Prize in Life Science and Medicine Laureate
• Kenji Fukaya: 2025 Shaw Prize in Mathematical Sciences Laureate

The programme was professionally facilitated by the Young Post editorial team from the South China Morning Post (SCMP), who guided the participants to uncover the human stories behind groundbreaking scientific discoveries.

Prior to the event, on October 18, 2025, selected participants attended an online news writing and interview workshop, hosted by SCMP, to develop essential skills for engaging with the laureates. After the event, each student will write a 250-word English reflection summarizing their insights and inspirations, with certificates presented to all participants.

This unique event not only allows students to interact directly with world-class scientists but also ignites their passion for research and innovation. We are incredibly proud of Chang Tin Sum and Chen Fai for representing our school in this prestigious programme. We hope they will gain valuable inspiration from this once-in-a-lifetime experience and continue their journey toward becoming future leaders in science!
