To help students apply the target language item of comparative adjectives in their writing, S.2 teachers took students of the form to K11 MUSEA. They enjoyed touring around the giant modern shopping mall with their peers while holding their favourite bubble milk tea on hands. They also observed the unique design of the mall and some artistic exhibits.
As one of the learning outcomes, they were able to give advice to a friend about whether to spend a half day in K11 MUSEA or V City. 2E3 students had to design a leaflet for the shopping mall as an extended writing task. Overall, the shopping experience reminds students that language learning is not confined to a classroom. English can be used and thus observed everywhere.
